SALEM, MA - Jaimie Marie Boucher, 41, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. Born in Salem, Jaimie was the daughter of Debra S. Haibon and the late Richard E. Boucher. Throughout her life, Jaimie’s mom, Debbie, was her greatest support, often referred to by Jaimie as her “rock.”
Jaimie was a talented hairstylist employed by several salons across the Northshore. She was a perfectionist who took pride in her work and really enjoyed making people feel beautiful. When she wasn’t in a salon, she waited tables at various restaurants and the patrons would always come back just to see her.
Jaimie was an avid reader and writer, filling countless journals with her thoughts and creativity. Jaimie will be remembered for her infectious laugh and sense of humor; she had the ability to turn each unexpected situation into a story that guaranteed there would be lots of laughter. Jaimie was a lover of animals; a trait she passed down to her daughter and the two shared their home with a variety of pets that Jaimie loved deeply.
She enjoyed spending time anywhere near the water and always found solace on the beach or by the lake. Jaimie’s most precious moments were those spent with her daughter with whom she shared a remarkable and everlasting bond. Jaimie was compassionate, kind, and giving, even when she didn’t have much to give. Jaimie took every opportunity to help those around her in a quiet, humble way and left a lasting impression on those whose lives she touched.
Jaimie is survived by her beloved daughter, Jordyn Leigh Wetson, her partner of over 25 years, Adam Wetson, her sister Jennifer Burnett and husband Norman, nephew Joshua and niece Taylor, "brother-in-law" John Wetson, his wife Rachel and their son Cody, Jordyn’s Mimi, Judi Wetson, her lifelong friend and “soul sister” Gretchen Callahan and her sons Michael, Shane and Gavin, followed by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and countless friends she considered family.
ARRANGEMENTS: The family will hold a private service to celebrate Jaimie’s life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a fund has been established to support Jordyn’s recovery from this loss and to help provide for her future.
