Mary P. DiBella

TEWKSBURY: Mary P. (Bramante) DiBella, age 93, a resident of Tewksbury for 60 years, passed away at Lowell General Hospital on Tuesday, July 12, 2022.
She was the beloved wife of A. Alfred “Al” DiBella, who passed away in 2003 and loving mother of the late James A. DiBella, who passed away in 1981.
Born in Boston on October 29, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Sebastiano Bramante and the late Sebastiana (Patania) Bramante.
Mary was raised in the West End of Boston until moving to Medford. She attended local schools and graduated from Medford High School.
In 1961, she and her late husband moved to Tewksbury, where they raised their six children.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed for 20 years by the Tewksbury Public School Lunch Program.
Mary was a communicant of St. William’s Parish in Tewksbury. In addition, she was a member of the Tewksbury-Wilmington Emblem Club, the Tewksbury Red Hat Society and an active member and volunteer at the Tewksbury Golden Age Club and Senior Drop-In-Center, as well as a volunteer for the local Meals on Wheels Program.
Mary enjoyed playing Bingo, completing word puzzles, participating in the numerous activities offered by the Golden Age Club, and traveling with her contemporaries on the many trips sponsored by the Tewksbury Senior Center.
She is survived by five children, MaryAnn DeLanoy and her husband Stephen, of Salisbury, Alfred DiBella and his wife Margaret “Peg”, of West Windsor, VT, Laura Ambrefe and her husband Stephen, of Groveland, Donna Gill and her husband David, of Methuen, and Lisa Doherty and her husband Pat, of Dracut: ten grandchildren, Stephen and Heather DeLanoy, Sarah Gurr, Katie Blackman, Ashley and Jimmy Ambrefe, Kayla DiBella, David Gill, Patrick and Emma Doherty: five great grandchildren. She was the sister of Josephine Sateriale, of Medford, Frank Bramante, of Medford, Salvatore Bramante, of Medford, Richard Bramante, of Tewksbury, and the late Margaret Camuso. Mary leaves many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Calling hours are Thursday, July 14, from 3-7 p.m. at the Farmer & Dee Funeral Home, 16 Lee Street, Tewksbury. Her funeral procession will begin at the funeral home on Friday, July 15 at 9 a.m., followed by her Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. at St. William’s Church, 1351 Main Street, Route 38, Tewksbury. Interment at Lowell Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org
