New Jersey – Mary Rita O’Rourk, died Wednesday May 10, 2006 at Renaissance Gardens Nursing Home in Pompton Plains New Jersey after a brief Illness. Survivors include a Sister Catherine Owen of Oakland, New Jersey, 3 Nephews David Owen of Florida Mark and Dennis Owen of New Jersey and 1 Niece Catherine Mary Dangoia of Bridgewater, MA. She is also survived by 2 Great Nieces and 3 Great Nephews.
Ms. O’Rourke was born in New Bedford, MA., but lived most of her life in New Jersey She was the Daughter of the late Catherine (Lawrence) and Lieutenant John O’Rourke of the New Bedford Police Department. She was an Advertising and Marketing Director for American Cyanamid Company, in Wayne New Jersey for 45 Years.
Her funeral will be held Monday May 15, 2006 from the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. With a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish at St. James, on County St. at 10 A.M., Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery. Visiting hours will be Monday morning 8:30-9:30 A.M.
