Kenneth Ray Jones, Sr., 71, of Middletown died July 10, 2022 at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson after an extended illness.
He was born, November 28, 1950 in Baxter, Tennessee the son of Billie Ray and Betty (Bennett) Jones.
He was a self employed car salesman most of his adult life. He enjoyed Texas Holdem, motorcycles and horses.
He served in the United States Marine Corps.
He is survived by his wife, Anna (Poor) Jones of Middletown; two children, Mindy (Jones) Vetor and Joe Goodman of Anderson, William "Billie" Jones, Bonnie and Sabian all of Muncie; six grandchildren, Steven Vetor and Christina Donges of Greenfield, Day'mon (Courtney) Johnson of Muncie, Jov'eon Poor of Middletown, Antonio Moore of Middletown, Sauntez Moore of Middletown, Kenja Jones of Anderson; two great-granddaughters, Stephanie Vetor of New Castle and Melody Donges of Greenfield; daughter-in-law, Jenni Jones of Anderson; sister and brother-in-law, Debbie (Mike) Tonyes of Pendleton, sister-in-law, Gloria Tharp of Anderson; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Patricia "Bea" (Richard) Brumback of Anderson; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James S. (Pamela) Poor of Sulphur Springs; brother-in-law, John F. Poor of Anderson, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Christy L. (Brian) Davis of Middletown, sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Kathy S. (Todd) Naselroad of Alexandria and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Billie Ray Jones, mother, Betty Ruth (Bennett) Jones, son, Kenneth Ray Jones, Jr., daughter, Tonya Ann Poor, father-in-law, James S. Poor, Sr. mother-in-law, Mary Angeline (Michael) Poor; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents on both sides of his family.
Funeral service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Gary McCaslin officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery with military graveside rites by Daleville American Legion and Marine Corps.
Visitation will be Friday, July 15, 2022 from 4 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
