Sheila L. Klecha (King) 74, of Raynham, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 11, 2022, at Life Care Center of Raynham. She was under the care of Compassionate Care Hospice.
Born and raised in South Dartmouth, she was the daughter of the late Edward H. and Evelyn (Bradley) King.
She was a lifelong resident of Brockton since the 1970’s and in most recent years was a resident of Bridgewater. Sheila was graduate of Dartmouth High School and had attended Kinyon and Campbell Business School. Her last job she worked for the loan department at Brockton Credit Union. She is a former majority member of the International Order of Rainbow for Girls New Bedford Assembly and past Advisory Board Member of Brockton Assembly Number 20. She was an active member of Christ Congregational Church UCC and was involved in the women’s group En Ami and knitting. An avid knitter, Sheila was always knitting blankets, scarves, or baby booties for various church fairs, her grandchildren, or raffle projects. She was affectionately known as the “Bread Lady” in her early years as her baked goods were famous at charity bake sales for the local masonic lodge, blood drives with its proceeds going to Rainbow Girls. She was also an active member of the Bridgewater Senior Center. Ms. Klecha was also very involved with her grandchildren who she loved dearly and enjoyed watching them perform and do sports.
She is survived by her daughter Candace L. Mitchell of Raynham; granddaughter, Alexys M. Mitchell of Raynham; a grandson Bradley Andrew Mitchell of Easton; a sister Rebecca Cordeiro, her husband, Steven, and their children, Edward and Susan, of Marlboro.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Sheila’s family on Thursday, July 14, 2022, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. Her funeral service will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 10:00 am, in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Melrose Cemetery, Brockton.
