Anne Marie (Sheehan) Dewar, 78, of Franklin, MA passed away peacefully at home after battling a long illness, on Saturday, July 9, 2022.
Born on October 29, 1943 in Dorcester, MA, she was the daughter of the late Frances (Druken) and William Thomas Sheehan.
She grew up in Dorchester and moved to Franklin in 1978 where she then raised her family.
Anne was a graduate of St. Patrick’s High School in Roxbury, MA. In 2009 she retired as an Executive Assistant for a Swiss Pharmaceutical company to help raise her grandchildren and spend time with her family, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
She is survived by her children; her daughter Cheri A. Dewar of Franklin; her son Todd W. Dewar and his wife Christin of Abingdon, VA, her daughter Cara M. Dewar and her fiancé Lou Sergiacomi of Milford, MA and her daughter Kristen M. Fernandes and her husband Lee of Franklin.
She was also known as Nani/Mee-Maw to her six grandchildren, Kiera Fernandes, Gavin Dewar Wilkinson, Kaylee Fernandes, Cameron Fernandes, Trenton Dewar and McKinleigh Dewar, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was the youngest sister of the late Frances R. Miller and her husband Donald and the late Carol A. Stevenson and her husband John.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Michelle Gould, Erene Briese, Kassidy Lane, Braden Spolidoro and Jody McCarthy for the love and care they provided Annie during this difficult time.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Mass on Friday, July 22 at 10 a.m. at St. Brendan Church, 382 Hartford Ave. (Rte. 126) in Bellingham, MA.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 21 from 4 - 7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main St. in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made in Anne's memory to The Alzheimer’s Association.
