Orman Lee Tucker, 83, of Mystic, Georgia, died Monday, July 11, 2022, at his residence.
Graveside services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Mystic Cemetery, in Mystic, Georgia, with the Rev. Dr. Lloyd Stembridge officiating. The family will greet friends following the services, at the cemetery.
Mr. Tucker was born January 23, 1939, in Irwin County, Lax, Georgia, to the late James Edwin & Betsie Paulk Tucker. He lived in Mystic most of his life and began a 16-year career as a truck driver and later a 32-year career and retirement with Ross of Georgia, Ocilla, Georgia, as a motor grader and heavy equipment operator. Mr. Tucker enjoyed his yard work. He took great pride in all that he had worked so very hard for over his lifetime. He loved and missed his pet Shetland Sheepdog, Kipper, of 13 years since Kipper’s passing in 2016. Mr. Tucker was a member of Mystic Baptist Church, in Mystic, Georgia.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Jackson Tucker, of Mystic; children: Tammy Tucker Parker & Tracy of Fitzgerald and Edwin Keith Tucker of Irwinville; grandchildren: Rachel Thompson Lott & Keith Lott, Jr., Dustin Keith Tucker and Trevor Lee Tucker; a brother, Burns Tucker & Connie of Chelsea, Alabama; and a sister, Robinell Tucker Moore & Jerry of Sylvester. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Jeffrey Wade (J.W.) Tucker and an infant great-granddaughter, Denver Lynn Lott.
He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him, until we meet again in Heaven! We love you!
