Roberta Silva, 73, of South Dennis, MA passed peacefully on June 23, 2022.
Roberta was predeceased by her loving husband Robert Silva, her parents Captain Weston Healy and Mary Kelleher Healy, and her sisters Jane Healy and Mary Elizabeth Healy. Roberta cherished family. She felt blessed to become a mother later in life to Denise Silva and Diane Silva through foster care. She was devoted to her grandchildren: Ra Quel, Timmy, Justice, Joshua, James, Lilly, Storm, Liam, and Kyra. She really did it all from brownie mom to soccer coach; she never missed an opportunity to support and encourage children. Roberta is also survived by sister-Joan Healy, loving nieces, nephew and friends.
Throughout her life she had the opportunity to try her hand at many things. She worked as a
secretary at a Boston law firm and at St. Luke’s Hospital. And if you were among the lucky to have tasted her pies, it would come to no surprise that she even had a bakery at one time. She had a cottage cleaning business that allowed her to meet so many people that would become lifelong friends. However, it was in her nearly 20-year career as a para-professional at Ezra H. Baker Innovation School in her work with children that she really found the perfect pairing to her kind, compassionate, and curious nature. Mrs. Silva’s EHBI kids were amongst her greatest joys as were her relationships with her coworkers whom she considered extensions of her family. She truly delighted in you.
Although Roberta thought she’d have more days with all of you, she was truly grateful for the time shared together and wanted to say, “love ya!”
The funeral service for Roberta Silva will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at St. Pius X Parish in South Yarmouth, MA. Internment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in South Dennis, MA.
