Obituary

John P. Johnson, 61, a resident of Franklin for most of his life, died unexpectedly on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at his home.

Born in Milford on August 11, 1960, he was the son of the late Robert A. and Catherine E. (Garron) Johnson.

John graduated from Franklin High School in 1978 and proudly served in the Marine Corps for 2 years.

He had been a truck driver for B.P. Trucking in Ashland for the past 25 years.

John was a member of the Franklin Elks Club and was an avid New England Patriots fan. He loved motorcycles and was a longtime Harley Davidson owner.

He is survived by two brothers, Robert Johnson, Jr. of Uxbridge and Arthur Johnson of Bellingham, three sisters Ruth Hostak of Douglas, Karen Johnson of Parsonsfield, ME and Christina Jutras of Bourne, and his best friend and nephew Rudy Johnson of Bellingham.

He is also survived by many additional nieces and nephews and his beloved dog, Jax.

He was the brother of the late Steven and Richard Johnson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday, July 18 from 4-7 p.m. in the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin, 131 Main Street in Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com).

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to Medway VFW, 123 Holliston St., Medway, MA 02053 or to the Franklin Elks Lodge, 1077 Pond St, Franklin, MA 02038.
