Robert S. Greene, 90, passed away peacefully on Friday July 8, 2022 at the Wingate Nursing Home in Haverhill, Massachusetts. Robert was born on February 19, 1932 in Winthrop, he was the cherished son of the late Arthur J. and Katheryn F. (Sweeney) Greene.
A lifelong resident of Winthrop, Robert was a graduate of Winthrop High School. He worked for over 25 years for Massport. A faithful Catholic, Robert was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Winthrop during his lifetime. He was also a regular on Friday evenings at the Winthrop Arms Restaurant.
Robert is survived by his two sisters Ann Cole and Carol Driscoll along with 21 nieces and nephews. Robert’s funeral mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church 320 Winthrop Street Winthrop on Friday, July 15th at 11:30am. Relatives and friends are invited. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to your favorite charity in Robert S. Greene's name.
