It is with great sadness we announce that Roy Anthony Hiott of Ventura CA, passed away suddenly of natural causes, on July 2nd, 2022, in Los Angeles CA.
Roy was born in Ventura CA to Barbara J. Hiott and Fletcher LeRoy Hiott on September 21st, 1977. He graduated from Buena High School in 1996 and completed college courses at Ventura & Santa Barbara Colleges.
He had a true passion for sports and adventure, especially track & field, gymnastics, football, baseball, mountain climbing, hiking and camping. His talents were many and he excelled in all that he set his mind to.
Early in life, he had the privilege to serve on the Sundowner Fire Crew, and he spent many proud years coaching gymnastics. Throughout his career, he had a magical ability as a Retail Salesman, but found his true gift for helping others, by counseling those in need with their addictions. To say that Roy was charismatic would be a huge understatement. He was always the life of the party, a fun and silly jokester, and a man of many brilliant and natural talents. His unwavering generosity and ability to make you smile, feel special and loved was like no other. Most importantly, Roy’s family meant the absolute world to him.
Roy is lovingly remembered and survived by his Mother Barbara Valdivieso Hiott, Stepmother Tisha Hiott-Alessi, Sister and Brother-in-law Jennifer & Adam Moya, Sister and Brother-in-law Victoria & Trevor Kemerling, Brother and Sister-in-law Paul & Rhiannon Hiott, Brother and Sister-in-law Brandon & Amanda Hiott, Brother and Sister-in-law Joseph & Ashley Hiott, and Brother James Hiott. Uncles, Lawrence Valdivieso and Christopher Valdivieso, Aunts, Mayra Rosado, Marietta Valdivieso, Karen Fussell, and Pat Yost. Nieces, Chelsea James Lewis, Ava Hiott, Skylar Hiott, Charlee Hiott, Nephews, Justin Bergen, A.J. Hiott, Isaiah Lemense, Logan Hiott, and Ashton Hiott. Great Nephews and Nieces, Kaidan Truesdale, Kailey Truesdale, Kailyn Bergen, and Kaileb Bergen. Cousins, Anthony & Summer Valdivieso, Maricela Valdivieso, John Paul II & Maria Valdivieso, Kathrine Valdivieso, Julianna Valdivieso, Tony Valdivieso, Tyler Valdivieso, Ashley Valdivieso, Isabella Valdivieso, Sophia Valdivieso, Evelynn Valdivieso, Jason Hiott, and Godmother Linda Herrera, and many more cousins, family members, countless friends, and his beloved dog Benny, who all mourn his untimely passing, and will miss him dearly.
Family and friends are invited to a Most Holy Rosary to be recited on Friday evening July 29, 2022, at 7pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura. Following the Rosary, there will also be a Reflection for those who would like to speak.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will then be held on Saturday July 30, 2022, at 10am in Our Lady of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church, 3175 Telegraph Road Ventura.
Interment will then immediately follow at Santa Clara Catholic Cemetery, 2370 N. “H” Street, Oxnard CA 93036.
A reception and Celebration of Life will be held immediately following burial, back at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, (Santa Cruz Room) 3175 Telegraph Road Ventura.
