Ginger Lynn Navickas, 76, died Tuesday, July 5, 2022, at Brigham and Women’s Hospital after a brave battle with leukemia. She was born and raised in Worcester, daughter of Henry Donald Grant and Laura Virginia Grant. She leaves her daughter, Tiffany Lynn Cariglia and two amazing grandchildren, Arianna Lynn, and Alexander Dean, of South Dennis; her sister, Susan Black and husband Walter Barnie of Worcester and her son Nathaniel of Somerville; and her brother, Henry D. Grant, Jr., his wife Susan Grant of Northampton and their daughter April of Somerville.
In addition, she leaves a lifetime of wonderful extended family and friends including her loving partner Gerard Stanley, Donna McGrath and her husband Jeffrey Van Amburgh, Andrew and Janice Beschle and their children and Eric and David Day.
Ginger was a 1963 graduate of North High School and attended local colleges in support of her career. After 40 years serving the YWCA of Central Mass, she volunteered for many organizations, including ArtsWorcester, CASA, and Jewish Healthcare Center Hospice, and served on the boards of both the League of Women Voters of MA and its Worcester Area chapter.
She enjoyed the outdoors in all seasons but was happiest when near the sea. Ginger was a strong, tireless advocate for women’s rights and serving the needs of the underprivileged. She always felt being born and raised in Worcester enriched her life.
