Ronald N. “Ron” Dickinson, age 48, of Whitman, died unexpectedly at Signature Healthcare/Brockton Hospital on July 4, 2022. He was the devoted husband of Cathy A. (Towne) Dickinson and loving father of Charlie Dickinson both of Whitman.
Born in Norwood and raised in Brockton, Ron was the son of Mary (Cassidy) Dickinson of Bridgewater and the late Roger Dickinson. He attended Brockton schools. Ron worked at Evans Machine Company, EMI in Brockton, as a polisher and deburrer.
Ron was a fan of all New England sport teams especially the Celtics and Patriots. He was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and drawing. Ron also looked forward to attending concerts, casinos and comedy shows. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was a comedian in his own right.
Ron was a kind and gentle soul who gave the best hugs. He loved being with family and friends. Ron had a special connection and unconditional love for all children. He was especially proud of his son Charlie. He will be missed by his two English Bulldogs Koko and Chip.
In addition to his wife Cathy and son Charlie, Ron is survived by his mother Mary Dickinson of Bridgewater, his siblings Roger H. Dickinson, Jr. of Wilmington, NC; Lisa Mahoney of Melbourne, FL; Diane M. Visalli of Chattanooga, OK; Donna R. Shearing of Brockton and Richard J. Dickinson of Brockton. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.
Visiting hours will be held at Conley Funeral Home 138 Belmont St. (rte. 123) Brockton, on Sunday July 10, 2022 from 12-3pm ending with a prayer service at 3 pm.
