Josephine (LaPusata) Loblundo, age 95, of Somerville passed away on Tuesday, July 5th, surrounded by her loving family. Raised and educated in East Boston, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Angela LaPusata. Josephine lived in the West End before moving to Somerville 65 years ago, and worked in patient care at Central Hospital.
Josephine was the beloved wife of the late John Loblundo Sr., and the devoted mother of Cathy Ray and her husband John of Somerville, Deb Benhafoune of Del Ray Beach, FL, John Loblundo Jr. and his wife Barbara of Boxborough, Joe Loblundo and his wife Louise of Littleton, and the late Joanne Loblundo. She was the loving grandmother of Danielle, Justin and his wife Taryn, Michael and his wife Stefany, Jessi, Chris, Andrew, Cali, Alexandra and Eric, and the loving great grandmother of Jozee, Kyle, Aryanna, Torre, Tyler, Leanna, Blake and Zackary. Josephine was the dear sister of John LaPusata and Eleanor Mini, and was predeceased by ten late siblings. She is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford on Monday, July 18th at 9 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Catherine of Genoa Church, 179 Summer St., Somerville, at 10 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, July 17th, from 4 through 8 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, Medford.
