Margaret C. (McCabe) Hebert, 95, of New Bedford died Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Sacred Heart Home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Arthur J. Hebert.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Hugh and Mary (McHugh) McCabe, she lived in New Bedford and Dartmouth for all of her life.
Margaret enjoyed singing, going to Horseneck Beach in the summertime and spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an avid animal lover.
She is survived by her son, Thomas A. Hebert and his wife Linda; her daughter, Maureen C. Cournoyer and her husband Albert; three grandchildren, Kellie, Amy, and Jennifer; and five great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her daughter, Darlene M. Hebert; her granddaughter, Angela Cournoyer; and her siblings, Donald and Hugh McCabe, Grace Haworth, and Kathleen Buckley.
Margaret's family would like to thank the angels at Sacred Heart Home for the compassionate care provided during her time there as well as the nurses from SouthCoast VNA Hospice for their assistance during her final days.
Her Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 10AM at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, 121 Mt. Pleasant St., New Bedford, with everyone meeting directly at Church.
