Obituary

George Irvin Kissane, 72, of Anderson passed away on July 1, 2022 during a fishing trip in Canada.

He was born on October 10, 1949 in Anderson, IN to James E. and Olive (Solomon) Kissane. He served in the US Marine Corp.

He retired from Guide Lamp with over 30 years of service. He loved the outdoors; fishing, hunting, national parks, & geology. He loved visits with his four grandchildren and enjoyed history, documentaries, & reading.

He is survived by his two children, Megan (Colby) Dischinger of Overland Park, Kansas and Derek Kissane of Anderson; a sister, Grace Gilliatt of Noblesville; a brother, William Kissane of Marion; four grandchildren, Owen, Brooks, Sadie and Crosby Dischinger; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Dianne Elizabeth Kissane who passed away in 2014; and seven siblings.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, July 8, 2022 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service at the WEST CHAPEL with Rev. Mary Ann Randolph officiating with military honors by Daleville American Legion. A burial will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be from 11:00am-1:00pm on Friday at the funeral home.
