Henry F. Lawson, age 90, of Brockton, formerly of West Bridgewater, died July 3, 2022 at Baypointe Rehabilitation Center. Henry was the husband of the late Helen J. “Jackie” (Williams) Lawson, who was his best friend. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Myron and Rachel (Rice) Lawson.
Henry was raised and educated in West Bridgewater. During Korea he served with the US Air Force. For 31 years he was employed by Harland Check Company in Rockland and retired as an inventory supervisor. Following an early retirement from Harland, he and his wife traveled to Europe, Alaska and The Panama Canal. They also enjoyed winters in Florida.
He was a longtime member of Christ Congregational Church, was active on his High School Reunion Committee and was an avid New England sports fan. He also liked to hike, fish, camp, read and spend time with family and good friends.
Henry was the father of Steven B. Lawson and his wife Janet of Avon and Leigh-Ann Larson and her husband Leo Larson, III of Bridgewater; Papa of Katelynn Larson, Leo E. Larson, IV, Jillian Larson, Steven Lawson, Jr, Christopher Lawson and step grandson Steven Hurley. He is also survived by two great granddaughters Isabella and Ava Lawson and was the brother of Mildred Lawson and the late Myron R. Lawson.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 8, 2022 at 11am at Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Donations in Henry’s name may be made to Christ Congregational Church, 1350 Pleasant Street, Brockton, MA 02301.
