Wayland H. Dearth, 79, of Springfield, NH died Monday July 4, 2022 at the Oceanside Center in Hampton, NH. He was born in Hartford, CT on July 1, 1943, a son of the late Howard S. and Janice (True) Dearth. He had resided in Springfield, NH for the past seven years, formerly living in E. Derry, NH.
In his earlier years, he worked for Sanders Associates and as a full-time firefighter for the East Derry Fire Department. More recently, he worked for and retired from Aggregate Industries. Those who knew him knew of his love for German Shepherds, and his many interests, including boat racing, and restoring antique clocks and old farm tractors.
He is survived by his wife, Jessica (Scott) Dearth of Springfield, NH, three children, Diana Griffin of Derry, NH, Spencer Dearth and his wife Susan of New Cumberland, PA, and Jennifer Dion and her husband Gary of Newbury, NH, three grandchildren, Kellie Griffin, David Griffin, and Taylor Dearth, and one sister, Lin Conger and her husband Larry of E. Derry, and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, William Dearth in 2011.
