Lefkothea "Clover" Lampos, 91, of New Bedford passed away on June 30, 2022 after a brief illness.
She was the daughter of the late John and Aglaia (Chagaruly) Lampos. Clover was born and raised in New Bedford where she graduated from New Bedford High School. Her career at the Aerovox Corporation spanned from 1950 to 1999 where she became the first women sales rep in the early 60's to head an all male sales division. This outgoing, feisty, fun loving woman sang in the St George's Church Choir and belonged to the Philoptochos Society. The rock of the family at home she assisted in the care of her parents then took charge of the many years of the intensive care of her sisters Martha then Angie. Clover looked forward to taking her family to Newport every Sunday to visit her sister Katherine and "the kids." Family was the biggest part of her life always there for us be it a ballet recital, ball game, birthday party attending whatever event came along in our lives ready to participate or cheer us on no matter which generation. Christmas was her favorite holiday always playing "Santa." Predeceased by her parents and sisters, Joan Kalogeris and Martha Lampos she is survived by her sisters, Angie Lampos of New Bedford and Katherine Karanikolas of Portsmouth, Rhode Island. All "The Kids," Stephanie and Denis Martland, Gail Karninikolas Perry, Nicholas and Margaret Karanikolas from Rhode Island, George Kalogeris, John and Irene Kalogeris, all from Massachusetts; five great nieces; 3 great nephews and 2 great great nephews.
Her Funeral Service will be held on Monday, July 11th at 10 AM at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 186 Cross Rd., Dartmouth. Her family will receive guests at church from 9-10 AM prior to her service. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, P.O.
