Margaret G. (Walsh) Brauer of Dover and Harwich Port passed away on July 2, 2022 surrounded by her family.
Born in Boston in 1939 as the only child of the late Thomas and Margaret Walsh, she was 83 years old. She was predeceased in 2006 by husband, David P. Brauer, to whom she was married for 47 years. She was a Dover resident for 50 years and a committed member of Most Precious Blood Church in Dover. She enjoyed her home in Harwich Port and liked nothing more than to quietly read a novel and to gaze at the ocean view.
Her family was of the greatest importance to her. She is survived by her children, David P. Brauer of Millis, Robert J. Brauer and his wife Mary of Sudbury, Paul G. Brauer of Boynton Beach, FL , Susan E. Cavanaugh of Newburyport, Christopher M. Brauer of West Roxbury, Stephen M. Brauer and his wife Joan Saab of Rochester, NY, Richard P. Brauer of Boston, and Kerin E. Nunn and her husband Dennis of Dover. She was a loving grandmother to Carrie Novotny, Kristen Langan, Paul Brauer, Jr., Scott Brauer, Matthew Brauer, Phineas Brauer, Wilson Brauer, Samantha Cavanaugh, and Riley and Regan Nunn; also to her great-grandchildren Adelaide Novotny and Madison Langan.
Her funeral will be held from the George F. Doherty & Sons Funeral Home, 477 Washington St., (Rt.16) Wellesley, on Friday, July 8th at 9:30 AM. Her funeral mass will be celebrated in Most Precious Blood Church, Dover, at 10:30 AM. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Interment will be in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Margaret’s memory to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute:
