Obituary



Dolores M. (DeMarco) Sticco-Malone passed away peacefully at the Salem Hospital on June 29, 2022. She was 84. A life-long resident of Boston’s North End, she was the daughter of the late Domenic and Ann (Folino) DeMarco.

Dolores was a devoted wife, mother, stepmother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She will always be remembered for her kindness and exquisite style. She and her husband Carmen enjoyed a wonderful life together. Dolores loved to get dressed up and spend evenings out for dinner and dancing. She and Carmen travelled the world visiting Europe, Hawaii, Mexico and beyond. She enjoyed shopping and days at the beach. A proud graduate of the Julie Billiart School in the North End, Dolores enjoyed a 36 year career with the Registry of Motor Vehicles and was the department head and supervisor for the dealer and repair plate division.

The beloved wife of Carmen Malone, Dolores was a devoted mother to Janine LoVuolo of Stoneham and her late husband Anthony. She was a devoted step-mother to Michael Malone and his wife Joy of Arlington, and Christine Malone of Newton. She was a loving Nana to Anthony and Nina LoVuolo of Stoneham, Michael Malone and his wife Shelby of Cicero, NY, Ashley and Matthew Malone of Arlington and Jamie Collette of Newton. She was a dear sister to Beverly Ranese and her late husband Mike, and the late Donald DeMarco.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 7 at 10 AM in St. Leonard Church, Hanover St., Boston’s North End. Please meet at church. Burial will be private

Visiting hours will be on Wednesday evening, July 6 from 4 - 8 PM at the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., Medford.

In lieu of flowers, please honor Dolores’ memory by making a contribution in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Memorials Processing, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
