Eddy Dale Speer (Lolly) of Ventura passed away on June 22, 2022 at the age of 61. Eddy was born on August 22, 1960 in San Francisco and was raised in Ventura. Eddy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching the Raiders, crocheting hats and blankets for his family, and playing handball which he won several "Avenue" championships at Westpark. Eddy (Lolly) is truly loved and will be missed by his family and friends. Eddy was a beloved son, brother and uncle. Eddy is survived by his mother Mae Speer, Brothers William and Danny, Sisters Linda, Shirley, Rita, and Debbie. Nephews- Tommy, Richard, Danny, Jose III, and Frank. Nieces - Minnie, Francine, Latisha, Stephanie, and Andrea. Also, several great nephews and nieces. Eddy is preceded in death by his Father Louis Speer, Baby twin brothers, Brother Stanley and Billy, Nephews Joseph, David and Jose IV, Niece Elena.
Family and friends are invited to visiting hours Monday evening July 11, 2022 from 5 to 8pm in the JOSEPH P. REARDON FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICE, 757 E. Main Street Ventura, where a Most Holy Rosary will be recited at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11am on Tuesday July 12, 2022 in Mission Basilica San Buenaventura, 211 E. Main Street Ventura. Interment will then immediately follow in Pierce Brother’s Santa Paula Cemetery, Santa Paula.
