Obituary


GORHAM- Lorelei Helen Mooers, age 72, passed away on July 1, 2022 at Mercy Hospital.
She was born in Portland, Maine on May 29, 1950, a daughter of the late Joseph and Muriel (LaBrecque) Moulton.
During her working years, Lorelei owned and operated a hobby store and babysat her grandchildren.
She enjoyed knitting and crocheting for the homeless, coloring, doing puzzles, reading, was an avid cook, playing cards, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy, decorating her home for the holidays and shopping at Wal-Mart.
Most importantly, Lorelei was devoted to her beloved family. Spending time with her family- especially her grandchildren, meant the world to her. She will be remembered for her love and her acceptance for everyone, whether they were family or not.
She is predeceased by her siblings- Pamela and George; and a granddaughter- Melanie Joy.
Lorelei is survived by her husband- William Mooers Sr.; children- William “Bill” Mooers Jr and girlfriend Lauri Phinney, Kelly Tanguay and her husband Mike and Scott Mooers and his wife Becky; siblings- Kathleen DeLage, Regina Dunbar, Raymond Moulton and his wife Rose, Carl Moulton and his wife Lisa, and Sonny Moulton and his wife Janet; grandchildren- Joseph, Brittany, Matt, Kayla and her husband Maksim, Tommy, Forest, and Marcus; several nieces and nephews; best friend of 50+ years- Kathleen Heseltine; and her dog- Bernie.
Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday July 12 from 4 – 6 PM at the Chad E. Poitras Cremation and Funeral Service Chapel, 498 Long Plains Road (Rt. 22) in Buxton. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday July 13 at 10 AM at Brooklawn Memorial Park, 2002 Congress St., Portland.
