SEBAGO- Claudette M. LaPointe, age 79, passed away on June 30, 2022, at her home, with family at her side, after a brief battle with colon cancer.
She was born in Montreal, Quebec on June 8, 1943, daughter of the late John and Rebecca (Belleveau) LeBlanc and attended schools in Dieppe.
In her earlier years, she enjoyed bowling. During her later years, she could be found working on crossword puzzles.
In 1961, she moved from Canada to the United States.
During her working years, she was employed at the Kezar Falls and Oxford Woolen Mills; however, raising her family and making her home was most important to her.
She is predeceased by her husband- George LaPointe in 2016; and her siblings- Emma LeBlanc and Henry LeBlanc.
Claudette is survived by her children- Mike LaPointe and his wife Bonnie, and Jim LaPointe and his wife Angela; siblings- Omer LeBlanc and his wife Theresa of Moncton, NB, Gene LeBlanc and his wife Joanne of Fitchburg, MA, and Alice West and her partner Joe Gonynor of Shirley, MA; granddaughter- Danielle; and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will be private amongst family and close friends in Sebago.
