LACONIA ---- James Earl Dearborn Jr., 51, of Laconia, died at home on Wednesday, June 29, 2022.
James was born on October 21, 1970, in Laconia, to James E. Dearborn Sr., and Linda Lawrence.
He was self-employed as a carpenter for 34 years and also trained at the Sign of the Wolf Tattoo, in Weirs Beach, where he excelled at the art.
James had many interests and talents. He was a classic car and two-wheel enthusiast, a tattoo artist, and antique collector. He was a skilled builder and carpenter; he could build an entire house from foundation to roof and loved to build things that move – bicycles, cars and motorcycles. His “passion project” – a Triumph motorcycle was left unfinished.
James is survived by his children, James Earl Dearborn III and his fiancé Miranda Thelfall, Zachary Caleb Dearborn and his fiancé Jonathan Clare, sisters, Tina and (Raymond) Paul and Melissa Dearborn, brother Matt Lawrence, grandson Griffin James Dearborn, many nieces and nephews, and lifelong friend and mother of his sons, Kimberlee Dearborn LeMoine. James had a special place in his heart for his Uncle Johnny Dearborn and was his caretaker for several years. He was predeceased by his father James, Sr. and mother Carol Ann Dearborn-Martin.
A Celebration of James’ life will be held on Friday, July 8, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at the Laconia Rod & Gun, Club, 358 Main St., Laconia. Attendees are encouraged, but not required, to bring something for the pot luck dinner.
