Gladys M. Donovan, age 85 of Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, died peacefully at her home on Friday June 24, 2022. She was born and raised in Brockton, a daughter of the late Beatrice Parmenter.
A 1955 graduate of Brockton High School, Gladys was a member of the reunion committee. She worked for many years at various Shaw’s Supermarkets as manager of the fish department. She was also a steward for UFCW local 791.

Gladys looked forward to trips with her children and her best friend Judy, sitting on the beach at the Tides, trips to the casino and taking the family to Eastover resort every year. She loved being with her family.
Gladys will be remembered as a strong woman who relentlessly advocated for her family. She was an amazing mother and made an impression on all who knew her for her blunt candor and honesty. Gladys was very proud of her daughters, grandchildren and family.

She leaves seven grandchildren: Gerald Derochea, Patrick Derochea, Chelsea Derochea, Bruce Morse, Shannon Morse, Peter Farragher and Meaghan Farragher in addition to her four great grandchildren: Bryson Derochea, Thomas Derochea, Arthur Derochea and Eleanor Morse. She was the sister of Dorothy Chaffee.
