Bruce James Claflin died on June 22, 2022 at his home in Stoneham, Mass with his family by his side. Bruce was born March 17, 1948 in Newton, Mass to his parents David and Barbara Claflin. He graduated from Boston University in 1969 and also served in the National Guard for 4 years. His career was spent at Bank Boston and the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston until his retirement in 2013.
Bruce is survived by his wife of 40 years, Louise, his daughter Erin Jeannine Claflin of Ann Arbor Michigan, his daughter Stephanie Claflin Rucki and her husband Wally of Medford, his grandchildren Rowan James Reed and Rhiannon Faye Reed of Ann Arbor Michigan and Jordan Lee Rucki of Medford. He is also survived by his brother David Claflin of St. James City, Florida.
Services for Bruce will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Bruce’s name to the Massachusetts Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
