Obituary

Limerick - Lynn E. Gray, 69, of Limerick, peacefully passed away June 27, 2022 at home, with his loving wife of 43 years by his side.

Lynn was born August 28, 1952 to Wayne and Janet (Bean) Gray. Lynn lived in Limerick his whole life, attending Limerick schools and graduating from Massabesic High School.

Lynn married Sylvia Gilpatrick on April 7, 1979. In October, they had their first son, Clayton, and then welcomed son, Johnathan in January 1981.

Lynn was a hard worker. Starting at a young age he worked for a local egg farm and Hayeshurst Dairy Farm for many years. Lynn worked for Moulton Lumber for 31 years doing a variety of jobs from driving a delivery truck to running the sawmill. When Moulton's put in their Cornish location, Lynn worked there until leaving in 2001 to start his own business, C & L Gray Trucking with son Clayton. They worked together for 10 years. Lynn then went on to work for the Limerick Transfer Station, then the Waterboro Transfer Station before retiring to spend time with his family and friends.

Lynn was predeceased by his father, Wayne Gray, mother, Janet Gray, sister Toni Gray, Father-In-Law, Floyd Gilpatrick, Mother-In-Law, Barbara Gilpatrick and Sister-In-Law, Linda Gilpatrick.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sylvia (Gilpatrick) Gray, his sons, Clayton Gray and wife Sara of West Newfield, Johnathan Gray and wife Jéré of Limerick, grandsons, Johnathan and Eli Gray of Limerick, brother Carlon Gray and wife Terry of Alfred, Sister-In-Law, Karen Ring and husband Frank of West Newfield, Brother-In-Law, Jerry Gilpatrick of Limerick, his favorite aunt June Richardson of Limerick, many cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends that were considered family. Also, his loving pets, Bear and Sheldon.

A celebration of the life Lynn lived will be held at a later date. Arrangements are respectfully handled by Poitras, Neal and York Funeral Home. Online condolences may be expressed at: www.mainefuneral.com
