Kellie I. Torres, age 43, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2022. Visiting hours will be held at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Saturday, July 2 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM and Sunday, July 3 from 3:30 – 5:30 PM. Friends and relatives are invited to attend. There is a precise moment in one's life when one remembers hearing Kellies laugh for the very first time.It is at this specific time that you started to smirk to yourself, or perhaps, look up and around, smiling, looking for its source. Or maybe you stood up and went in search of it because you wanted to experience it live and in full force in her presence. It was a laugh of brilliant light, of sunshine. It was a laugh of genuine and honest joy. Kellie’s ability to care for everyone was at the core of her being and her knowledge of caring for others, without conditions, was otherworldly. So it isn’t any wonder, that she was the catalyst behind Gensler participation in the WE CARE event each holiday season, whose goal is to provide children with the opportunity to make creative, heartfelt gifts for their friends and families. If you ever heard her talk about WE CARE and her dedication to the program, her love of loving others was ridiculously evident. This innate ability was the premise of her x17 year career at Gensler as the Office Services Manager, where in addition to managing the office services, she also was a trifecta party planner extraordinaire, personal chef to the softball team, and in house counsel to all who sought her services. She was the keeper of a secret flame, one that evoked trust, and made you feel seen and heard, feel alive, warm,
and nurtured all at once. Her adoration of life and all its graces was ever present. The expansive warmth that Kellie embodied was rooted in her strength and ability to laugh and ultimately – to love. Kellie Ivette Torres is survived by her daughter, best friend & absolute light of her life - Kaylie Gonzalez, (16) and her life partner David Torres
