Claire “Ma” (Dangelo) Rofino of Franklin passed away, June 23, peacefully in the home she lived in for the past 68 years, surrounded by her five loving daughters and family.
Claire was predeceased by her husband, Frank D. Rofino, the love of her life of 62 years, who passed away in 2016.
Born in Franklin on October 22, 1932, the daughter of the late Peter and Dominica (Scaccia) Dangelo, Claire was a lifelong Franklin resident. In her 89 years of life, she was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Claire treasured and deeply loved her family first and foremost; it was one of her most extraordinary qualities. There was nothing more important to her and her husband than their family. Claire and Frank’s faith and love for each other formed the nucleus of a strong, tight-knit family. Their unconditional love was evident in everything they did.
Claire is survived by her five daughters, Karen Rofino-Adams and her husband Gary of Franklin, Susan Jackson and her husband, Alan of Shrewsbury, Kimberly Rofino of Uxbridge, Kellyan Rofino Helle of Franklin, Angela Gordon and her husband, Matthew of Franklin.
She also was a beloved Ma leaving behind her seven grandchildren, Frank Jackson and his wife Heather, Ashley Caron and her husband Zach, Stephanie Jackson, Anthony Rofino, Luciano Gordon, Victoria Hele, and Nicholas Gordon, and three great-grandchildren, Dominic and Jack Caron, and Austin Jackson.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the calling hour on Thursday, June 30, from 8:30-9:30 am at the Ginley Funeral Home of Franklin (www.ginleyfuneralhomes.com), followed by her funeral Mass celebration at St. Mary’s Church Franklin, at 10:00 am. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Parish Cemetery following the Mass.
