Marion (Cornell) Carter 89 passed away on Monday 6/20/22 at Warren nursing center. She was a lifelong resident of Little Compton RI. she was the daughter of Merton and Gwendolyn Cornell. She is pre deceased by her spouse Charles Carter Jr, her son Douglas Carter and her brother Malcolm Cornell. She had one brother Ronald Cornell. Two daughters Donna Gardella of Little Compton Dianne and husband Doulas Matthews of Little Compton. She is pre deceased by her grandson Benjamin Ferreira. her grandchildren Rachael Matthews of N.B., Matthew Ferreira and his wife Erika of ma. Lillian Ferreira, and Angeline Gardella. 3 great grandchildren many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews she loved them all very much. She graduated from Wilbur High school class of 1950. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved walks ss beach, reading, knitting, she helped many people, and truly loved her town. She will be missed Marion worked as a dispatcher at L.C police department. Everyone loved her sense of humor. She said it best. " Strangers are just friends you haven't said hello to.
Graveside service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. at Beech Grove Cemetery, Westport.
