Alfred D. Marzelli, age 81, of Brockton, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at his home. He was the husband of Audrey L. (Baker) Marzelli.
Born and raised in Brockton, he was the son of the late Alfred Marzelli and Mary (McCormack) Hartwell.
Alfred was a graduate of Brockton High School and served his country in the United States Coast Guard earning several military awards. Upon retirement from the U.S. Coast Guard he was employed at JetLine Services and then for R.J. Messina for many years. Alfred was a member of the South Shore Antique Auto Club and the South Shore Corvette Club. His interests included cars, motorcycles, and auto repair. He will be remembered for being proud, strong willed, and a man who loved those important to him. Alfred enjoyed a nice meal with his loving wife of almost 60 years and was passionate about providing for his family and making sure they were cared for.
In addition to his wife, he leaves his four children Kerry D. Marzelli of Halifax, Daniel A. Marzelli of Brockton, Glenn D. Marzelli and his wife Kristine of Middleboro, and Sheri L. Adams and her husband Colonel Mike Adams, of Rock Island Army Arsenal, IL. He also leaves his seven grandchildren: Kyle and Kaci Marzelli, Nicholas, Ryan and Michael Marzelli, Jacob and Sophia Adams.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Alfred’s family on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton. His interment with military honors will be on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 12:45 pm, in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne. All guests are asked to arrive at cemetery by 12:30 pm.
