Brenda Gail Knight, 72, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Friday, June 24, 2022, at Dorminy Medical Center in Fitzgerald, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM, Sunday, June 26, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Steve Hand officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Ms. Knight was born October 15, 1949, in Athens, Georgia, to the late Walter & Gladys Edith Black Tucker. She was a 1967 graduate of Fitzgerald High School and later attended Ben Hill Irwin Tech. She was a hairdresser at Walmart. Ms. Knight enjoyed crocheting, loved reading, working crossword puzzles and being with her family. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Shirley Ann Melton of Lakeland; several nieces and nephews: Dennis Tiller of Comer, Mark Melton of Baxley, Elaine Metts and Paula Parrish, both of Lakeland and Terri Tucker and Tina Sapp, both of Fitzgerald. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Tucker; two sisters: Hazel Troup and Ruth Tiller; nieces and nephews: Nathan Troup, Larry Tiller, Randy Melton and Pam Melton.
