Patsy Louise Griner Hogan, 74, of Tifton passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022, at her residence. Her funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 27, 2022, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Keith Norris and the Rev. Garvie Nichols, Jr. officiating. Mrs. Hogan will be laid to rest at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Alapaha. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Travis Sutton, Austin Griner, Joe Griner and Ricky Justice will be among the pallbearers.
Born August 16, 1947, in Tifton, Mrs. Hogan was the daughter of the late Willie Albert Griner and Mamie Luddell Gray Griner. He was also preceded in death by her husband, Archie Hogan; and three brothers, Melvin Ray Griner, Henry Franklin Griner and Charles Dewey “Charlie” Griner. Before retiring, she worked for 17 years at Mrs. Kinser’s Foods in Tifton and then was a homemaker and enjoyed babysitting for many families. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary at the VFW and she was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Alapaha. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking and yard sales.
Mrs. Hogan is survived by one daughter, Vicky Hogan of Tifton; one son, Henry Griner of Nashville; five grandchildren and their spouses, Tyler and Crystal Copeland, Emily Hogan, Landen Griner, Laeken and Nick Jewell and Haley and James Golden; three great-grandchildren, Cadance, Jace and River Copeland; and several nieces and nephews.
