Maria “Louise” (Carfagnini) Arcaro 82, of Franklin, passed away peacefully, Tuesday June 21, 2022 at Milford Regional Medical Center following an illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Louis G. “Lou Lou” Arcaro, who died in 2012.
Born March 28, 1940 in Montorio nei Frentani, Province of Campobasso, Italy, a daughter of the late Luigi and Giuseppina (Franchilli) Carfagnini, she was a resident of Franklin for 60 years.
She was raised in Italy and moved to Montreal, Canada at 14 years old, in Canada, she worked in a bridal shop and retail store until she married and moved to Franklin. Upon settling in Franklin, she worked for Whiting & Davis and Mayflower Textiles.
“Louise” was devoted to her family and enjoyed cooking, sewing, gardening, walking and having coffee with her longtime friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa M. Kerr and her husband Donald of Franklin, brothers, Paolo Carfagnini of Quincy and Donato Carfagnini of Canada, a daughter in law Teresa Arcaro of Plainville and her cherished grandchildren, Mathew Arcaro, Zachary Arcaro, Stephen Kerr, Sarah Kerr and Scott Kerr.
Also surviving are nieces, nephews, and numerous extended family and friends.
She was the mother of the late Anthony L. Arcaro and sister of the late Frank Carfagnini.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Wednesday June 29th at 9AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. followed by a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Franklin at 10AM. To view the Mass stmarysfranklin.org
Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
