Dianne L. (Gracia) Rezendes, 70, of Westport, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 after a courageous 6 year battle with ovarian cancer. She was the wife of Thomas A. Rezendes.
Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Antonio B. Gracia, Jr. and the late Jean E. (Zembo) Gracia, she was a lifelong resident of Westport. Prior to retirement, Mrs. Rezendes was a math teacher at Westport High School for 32 years. An avid golfer, she enjoyed trips to the beach and spending time in Florida, but most of all she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Including her husband, she is survived by a son: Mark T. Rezendes and his wife Tara of Westport; 2 beloved grandchildren: Camryn and Skylar; a brother: James A. Gracia of Easthampton, MA; 4 sisters: Linda J. Eastwood of Westport, Susan J. DeCosta of Westport, Kathy L. Rego of Westport and LouAnn Nygaard of Westport; father and mother in law: Arthur and Alice Rezendes of Westport; several nieces and nephews; and many great nieces and nephews.
Funeral to which relatives and friends are invited will be Monday, June 27, 2022 at the Potter Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M.
Visitation will be Monday from 9 - 11 A.M. prior to the funeral.
Burial will be private.
