MARY THERESA (SLATTERY) WALSH
FRAMINGHAM: Mary Theresa (Slattery) Walsh, 82, of Framingham, formerly of Wayland, died peacefully on June 22, 2022 following a period of declining health.
She was born in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland on May 18, 1940 the daughter of the late Thomas Slattery and Frances (O’Sullivan) Slattery.
Mary was the loving wife of David J. Walsh of Framingham. Sister of Thomas Slattery and his late wife Noreen and Angela DeRidales and her husband Francesco all of Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mary spent her formative years in Tralee, County Kerry, Ireland and came to the United States in 1960. She was a graduate of Saint Bartholomew’s Hospital School of Nursing in London, England. She was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston and retired as the Nurse Manager. Mary was well respected in her career as a nurse by her colleagues and retained her friendships with them up until her death.
Mary loved to read, especially mysteries, had a great sense of humor and loved to maintain her gardens at her residence. She and David enjoyed their many trips back to Ireland to visit family and the countryside of her youth.
Mary will be fondly remembered and loved by all who knew her and her kind and gentle spirit.
Visitations will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 from 9:00 to 10:30 am at the John C. Bryant Funeral Home, 56 Pemberton Road (off Rt 30), Wayland followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am at Good Shepherd Parish at ST. ANN CHURCH, 124 Cochituate Road, Wayland.
Interment will be private for her family in Lakeview Cemetery in Wayland.
