Phyllis (Feindel) Quinn passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday June 21, 2022.
Born in Melrose, MA in 1937 she was the only daughter of Frederick and Beatrice (Nickerson) Feindel.
Through her life her employment included a bookkeeper and dental hygienist.
Phyllis was a lifelong resident of Scituate where she enjoyed gardening, raising her four children and spending time with family and friends. Her presence in her children and grandchildren’s lives was constant and that is what brought her the most joy. She also enjoyed the time spent at their cabin in Vermont with her family. We will always remember her quick wit, life lessons and her ability to “tell it like it is”. Phyllis was an animal lover who adored her cats Izzy and Dinah, and was especially fond of giraffes.
Wife of Francis Michael Quinn, Jr. and devoted mother of Susan M. Quinn of Melrose, Phyllis Kathleen (Kathy) Samson and her husband Andrew of Gales Ferry, CT, Stephen F. Quinn and his wife Lorraine of Hanson and Michael S. Quinn and his wife Nicoletta of Plymouth. Phyllis is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she loved so much; Shannon Ormsbee her husband David and children Grayson and Gavin, Gregorii, Siobhan, Veronica and Eibhilin Whittemore, Austin, Logan and Alyssa Samson, Nicole and Michael (Jr.) Quinn, Tonya DeNormand husband Rob and son Ethan, Zach Blanchard and daughter Zoey. Phyllis is also survived by her niece and nephew whom she adored; Bruce Feindel and wife Susan and Christine Blanchard and husband David. Phyllis is survived by her longtime friends Jeannie MacVicar Phillips and Eileen Scotti.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours on Monday June 27 from 10:00 AM -12:00 PM with a service to follow at 12:00 PM, in the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, Plymouth Street (Rte. 58 @ the rotary) Whitman.
