Marie Elena Foley, age 50, of Plymouth, MA passed away on June 17, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Marie was born on December 11, 1971 at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Dorchester, was raised in Holbrook, and a graduate of Plymouth South High School. She received a degree from Quincy College as a paralegal and completed training at Sinnott School of Computers in Weymouth. Her most recent pursuit was the study of holistic massage therapy at Spa Tech Institute in Plymouth.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her parents Stephen & Marie Foley of Plymouth, her daughter Micayla Carroll and husband Patrick of Bridgewater, her sister Gina Cassidy and husband Jim of Weymouth, sister Andrea Pittman and husband Ken of Dartmouth, and her 7 nephews and 2 nieces. Marie and her partner, Kevin Hart, loved each other for over 9 years. She also held an inseparable bond with her adored dog Marlee, who also grieves her loss.
Throughout her life she touched many people with her genuine ability to empathize and share in others’ greatest joys and deepest pains. All who she encountered, she treated with kindness.
A funeral mass service will be held at St. Bonaventure Church at 803 State Rd, Plymouth, MA 02360 on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 10am, with visiting hours at the church beginning at 9am. All are welcomed to a gathering to celebrate her life immediately following her services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Marie’s name to a charity that holds particular meaning to you. Marie personally supported organizations that focused on the rescue, care and advocacy of animals.
