WEBSTER – Joseph N. Bottis, 39, died on June 17, 2022.
He leaves his mother, Elizabeth M. (Bottis) Sanchez of Webster MA; a brother, Jacob P. (Bottis) Luckhart and his wife Danielle of Old Bridge, NJ; a cherished nephew, Caleb Luckhart; an uncle John Bottis and his wife Sandy of Worcester; his aunts Donna Bottis of Leicester, Joan Gray and her husband Louis of Peoria, AZ., Diane Cino of Worcester, Susan Bailey and her husband Ben of Holden; and several cousins. He was eagerly awaiting the birth of another nephew. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Valentin Sanchez of Webster; his grandfather Paul Bottis Sr. of Worcester; and his uncles Paul Bottis Jr. of Leicester and Michael Bottis of Key West FL.
Joe, more commonly known to the locals in town as “Can Man Joe” was a fixture in Webster. He spent his days collecting cans and making conversation with the community. He loved his cat Stephano.
A celebration of his life will take place on Wednesday, June 22 at 7:00 PM in Life Church, 1 Nelson Street, Webster. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 22 in Mount Zion Cemetery (please meet at the cemetery). Donations in his memory may be made to Open Sky Community Services, 4 Mann St, Worcester, MA 01602. Arrangements are under the direction of Scanlon Funeral Service, 38 East Main Street.
