Dolores (Silva) Rego, 86, of Westport, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Charlton Memorial Hospital. She was the wife of the late Alvaro Rego.
Mrs. Rego was born and raised in Fall River, daughter of the late Augustine and Mary (Janeiro) Silva and had resided in Westport since 2005. Prior to retirement, she worked as a sewing machine operator for several local area sewing shops. She was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church, Westport, enjoyed going to the Westport Council on Aging taking trips to Cape Cod. Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her son: Gerald Rego and his wife Louise of Westport; her daughter: Audrey Cabeceiras and her husband Wayne of Fall River; and 4 grandchildren: Christopher, Matthew, Kayla and Tyler; and 3 great grandchildren: Landen, Paisley and Chase.
She was the sister of the late Gilbert Silva, Augustine Silva, Raul Silva, Licia Silvia, Armenia Ferreira and Judith Roderick.
Mass of Christian Burial to which relatives and friends are invited will be Thursday, June 23, 2022 at St. John the Baptist Church, Westport at 10:30 A.M.
Visitation will be Thursday at the Potter Funeral Home from 9-10 A.M., prior to the Mass.
Interment will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River.
