Judith Anne Leonardo, 72, of Jamaica Plain, died peacefully at her home on June 14 after a short illness. She was the loving wife of the late Daniel M. Hebert and beloved stepmother to Joanne Sarkar and her husband, Ambar, and Amanda Hebert. Cherished grandmother of Suzanna Alves and her husband, Fabricio, and Jack Everett Duke. Devoted daughter of the late John & Anne Leonardo of Scottsdale, AZ, and sister to Jack Leonardo of Scottsdale, AZ, and the late Jim Leonardo of Wilmington, MA. Aunt to Jennifer Leonardo and Michael Leonardo and his wife, Rachel. She is also survived by cousins in AZ, NJ & KS. Judy’s youthful and vigorous spirit will be sorely missed by her family and many friends. Judy grew up in Glen Rock, NJ, and Huntington, NY, and earned her bachelor’s degree at CW Post College. Judy was very artistic throughout her life. She had a long career as a Graphic Designer and later worked part time in retail until her retirement 2 years ago. She was a current member of the Cambridge Art Association and had acted and provided stage make-up for community theatrical groups including The Milton Players. She also enjoyed photography and had recent showings of her work in the Boston area. Visiting hours will be Thursday, June 23, 6-8 PM, at Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower Street in Jamaica Plain, MA. Funeral at 11 AM on Friday, June 24, at the funeral home. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent in Judy’s name to a charity of one's choice
