Johnnie Faye Harrison, 76, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Friday, June 17, 2022, at Irwin County Hospital in Ocilla, Georgia.
Funeral services will be held 4 PM, Monday, June 20, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Fitzgerald, with the Rev. Ike Thomas officiating. Interment will be private. The family will receive friends from 6-8 Sunday evening at the funeral home in Fitzgerald.
Mrs. Harrison was born April 23, 1946, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Leonard & Erma Owens Hogan. She worked as an inspector for Irwinville Peanut & Grain, as a CNA at Fitzgerald Nursing Home, and as a paraprofessional for Irwin County Schools. Mrs. Harrison served as Deputy Coroner for Irwin County for 8 years and was a member of the Irwinville Volunteer Fire Department. She loved to fish and enjoyed her flowers. She also enjoyed animals, especially hummingbirds. She will be greatly missed by her two chihuahuas, Baby Girls. Mrs. Harrison was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.
She is survived by her two daughters: Sheila Reed of Irwin County and Christine & Duane Williams of Midland; grandchildren: J.C. & Amanda Dukes, Samantha Reed, James Peacock, Raegan & Jeremy Wortham, and Noah Williams; great-grandchildren: Dakota Dukes, Colton Dukes, Kaitlyn Reed, Devin Reed, Cayden Reed, and Olivia Wortham; and two brothers: Fred & Debbie Hogan and Emory & B.J. Hogan, all of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Gerald Harrison and a son, Donald Wayne Harrison.
