SPENCER: James C. McSherry, III, 65, passed peacefully at his home, on Tuesday, June 7, in Ormond
Beach, FL. James was born on October 11, 1956 in Worcester, MA; the son of the late Josephine
(Brown) McSherry and James C. McSherry, Jr.
He is survived by his fiancée, Paige McCormac of Ormond Beach, FL (formerly of Woodstock,
CT); a son, James C. McSherry, IV and his wife Carlene of Woodstock, CT; three daughters,
Alysha Glazier and her husband Jonathan of Westford, MA, Stephanie Cox and her husband
Christopher of Southborough, MA, Andrea Hill and her husband Justin of Southborough, MA;
his stepson, Nathan Kelly of Woodstock, CT; his grandchildren, Hannah, Weston, Caroline,
Victoria, Jack and Alexandra; two brothers, David McSherry and his wife Donna of Gastonia, NC,
John McSherry of Leominster, MA; four sisters, Cheryl Hickman and her husband William of East
Brookfield, MA, Barbara Shipman and her husband Timothy of East Burke, VT, JoAnn Schold and
her husband Paul of Leicester, MA, Kim Bergeron and her husband James of Spencer, MA; many
nieces and nephews.
Born in Worcester, Jimmy was a graduate of David Prouty High School and spent many years as
a resident of Stiles Reservoir. He was an avid car enthusiast spurred by his earlier years working
at the McSherry Ford dealership in Spencer. Prior to a devastating accident 30 years ago,
Jimmy worked at the Worcester County Sheriff’s Department. In his later years, he enjoyed the
Daytona Speedway, sunrise services and spending time on the beaches of Florida with his
beloved dog, Rolex.
A funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 24, at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St.
Spencer. Friends are asked to go directly to the Church. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. The J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer is directing arrangements for the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Services, P.O.
