Rita R. (Boisvert) Flanders, 94, formerly of Londonderry, NH, passed away on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at The Pines of Bluffton Assisted Living in Bluffton, SC. She was born on February 3, 1928, in Salem, MA the daughter of the late Wilfred and Lillian (Dupere) Boisvert. She had been a resident of Bluffton SC for the past eight years, formerly living for over 50 years in Londonderry, NH. Rita was employed at Shaw’s Supermarket in Derry and as a bank teller for area banks. She enjoyed traveling to Europe, Canada, and all across the United States including Hawaii. She loved spending her summers at her lake house in Lovell Lake, Wakefield, NH, while visiting with friends and family.
She is predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Alfred E Flanders; son Mark E Flanders of Manchester, NH, sisters Roseanne Barrett of Hudson, NH, Barbara Cross of Bedford, NH and Cecile Boisvert of Manchester, NH.
She is survived by her children, Alan A Flanders and his wife Linda Flanders of Bluffton, SC, Ann Mary Dinsmore and husband Scott Dinsmore of Weare, NH, James Flanders and wife Joy Flanders of Pelham, NH, David Flanders and wife Laurie Flanders of Weare, Julie Flanders of Bluffton, and Lisa Flanders and friend Roger Verge of Lyman, ME, 13 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; one sister, Annette Pelletier of Raymond, NH, one brother Edward Boisvert of Port Charlotte, FL as well as several nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 5 - 7 pm at the Peabody Funeral Home and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd. Londonderry, NH. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday June 22, 2022 at 10:30 am at St. Mark’s Parish, One South Rd, Londonderry, NH. Burial will follow in St Joseph Cemetery, Donald St, Bedford, NH. Mask usage will be at the discretion of each attendee.
