Worcester – Dominika Ziu, 99, of Worcester, passed away peacefully in her home on Monday, June 13, 2022.
Dominika was born in Koritza, Albania daughter of the late Christo and Constantina (Cina) Ziu. She is survived by her nieces, Viola R. Floru, Virginia DiDonato, Flora Popovici and Shirley Ziu Marcin; a nephew, Stephen Ziu and many great nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by two sisters, Andronika Ziu Tanko and Sophia Ziu Tupa and two brothers, Thomas Ziu and Andrew Ziu.
Ms. Ziu worked for the former Parker Manufacturing Company for 45 years. She is a member of St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church and was a founding member of Saint Nicholas Romanian Orthodox Church.
The funeral service for Dominika will be held on Friday, June 17 at 11 AM in Saint Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church 535 Salisbury St. Burial will follow in Hope Cemetery, Worcester. A calling hour will be held from 10 to 11 AM in the church prior to the funeral service. Memorial contributions in memory of Dominika may be made to St. Mary’s Assumption Albanian Orthodox Church 535 Salisbury Street Worcester, MA 01609.
