Helen D. (Bierowka) Kazeroid, age 84, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2022 at the Memory Support Center of Heritage Hall in Agawam with family by her side. She was born on March 30, 1938 in Springfield, a daughter of the late Yvonne and Stanley Bierowka. Helen was a communicant of the former St George Church in Chicopee and St Rose de Lima Parish. She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Zigmond J. Kazeroid Jr of Chicopee; 3 children, Jeff Kazeroid and his wife Susan of Chicopee, Jill Kazeroid of Indian Orchard and Jay Kazeroid and his wife Launa of Chicopee; 2 brothers, Stan Bierowka and his wife Bonnie of Springfield and Ron Bierowka and his wife Liz of West Hartford, CT and 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Kyle, Jordyn, Chelsea and Trevor. Helen was a 1955 graduate of Chicopee High School and was employed by New England Tel and Tel before starting a family and devoting her time and energy to raising her children and caring for her grandchildren. She was a dedicated Boston sports fan enjoying the Red Sox, Bruins and Patriots but her greatest passion was attending and supporting her grandchildren’s hockey, baseball and softball games. She also enjoyed and cherished the numerous summer family vacations. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Grise Funeral Home, 280 Springfield St, Chicopee. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 9:30 – 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home followed by an in house prayer service at 10:30 AM. Burial will follow in St Stanislaus Cemetery, Chicopee. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, www.alz.org.
