Martiel Wynn Moore, 90, of Fitzgerald, Georgia, died Monday, June 13, 2022, at Palemon Gaskins Memorial Nursing Home in Ocilla, Georgia, surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Thursday, June 16, 2022, at The Paulk Funeral Home Chapel in Ocilla, Georgia, with Rev. Luke Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Brushy Creek Cemetery, Irwin County. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Ocilla on Thursday.
Ms. Moore was born March 14, 1932, in Tift County, Georgia, to the late Lee Jefferson & Elnora Boykin Wynn. She worked as a bookkeeper for several businesses including Dixie Oil Company, Tifton Aluminum, Garrett Motors, and Anderson Air & Electric. She loved her family very much. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting and made many afghans for other people. She enjoyed her flowers and was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. She was a member of Christian Fellowship.
She is survived by her three daughters: Sharon Moore of Fitzgerald, Paula Moore Cleghorn of Mystic, and Melody Moore of Tucker; three granddaughters: Michelle Seagroves & Michael, Misty Little, and Nicole Smith & Justin, all of Fitzgerald; four great-grandchildren: Logan Seagroves, Marina Maples, Madison Warren, and Cole Smith; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces & nephews, and lots of cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her special friend, Gene Turner as well as two brothers and sisters-in-law: Harold & Bobbie Nell Wynn and Lorie & Martha Jacque Wynn.
