On June 12th, 2022, Mildred Wilhelmina Schreiber (Swann), 84, of Towson, Maryland was reunited with her beloved husband and daughter in heaven.
She was born at home in Baltimore on August 5, 1937 to Elsie May Swann (Davis) and Horace Swann. She married the late Henry William Schreiber Jr in June of 1957.
Mildred was a fierce woman who was strong-willed and a real spitfire her entire life. Behind her no-nonsense persona, however, was a loving woman who cherished her family and was adamant in her faith. She was the cornerstone of her family for many years, and her family meant the absolute world to her. She also worked for many years at McDonalds and then at CitiCorp in collections. She loved going on long drives with her husband where they enjoyed discovering new places on those backcountry roads. She enjoyed reading romance novels, and delighted in camping for many years at the Cocalico Creek Campground in Denver, PA with her husband, and then her daughters and grandchildren. After her husband passed, Millie went on many traveling adventures with her girlfriends to places like Atlantic City, Williamsburg, St. Louis, and Florida to visit her lifelong friend Marilyn.
Millie was survived by daughter Patricia A. Gaff of Middle River; grandsons Michael Gaff (wife Stephanie) of Middle River, and Charles Gaff (wife Lisa) of Perry Hall; granddaughter Crystal Bullinger (husband Michael) of Parkville; great-granddaughters Kaitlynn Gaff, Rachel Gaff, Sarah Gaff, and Hannah Gaff; and great-grandson Westley Bullinger. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by daughter Joyce Schreiber and brother Donald Swann. Her family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Afternoon Tea who cared for Millie in the last years of her life.
Family and friends may call at the Funeral Home, 8521 Loch Raven Blvd. (beltway exit 29 B) on Thursday, June 16th from 6 to 8p.m. All are invited to attend Funeral Services on Friday, June 17th in Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 11a.m. Internment to follow at Wiseburg Cemetery.
