CHICOPEE – Robert E. “Bob” Jaszek, 76, of the Willimansett section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, June 11, 2022. He passed into Eternal Life at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Holyoke on February 15, 1946, a beloved son of the late Frank and Emily (Jagla) Jaszek. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated from Chicopee Trade School and had lived in Chicopee his entire life. He furthered his education and received an Associate’s Degree. He was employed as a Drafting Manager from Tighe & Bond Consulting Engineers in Westfield. During his leisure time, he enjoyed fly fishing and fly tying, salmon fishing in Pulaski, New York and visiting Hampton Beach with his grandchildren. Above all, he loved spending time with his family and his many friends. He leaves his high school sweetheart, his beloved wife and soul mate, Bonnie J. (Raybuck) Jaszek. They were married on June 9, 1965 in Springfield and were blessed with over 57 years of happiness together. He also leaves his two loving sons, Robert E. Jaszek, Jr. of Chicopee and Mark T. Jaszek and his wife, Natalie, of Belchertown; his three cherished grandchildren, David Byron and his partner, Lance, and Nathan and Madeline Jaszek; his two dear brothers, Thomas Kennison and his wife, Susan, of Golf Ridge, Las Vegas, NV and Gerald Kennison of Chicopee; his two dear sisters in law, Susan Kmon and her husband, Louie, of Belchertown and Jill Adkins and her husband, Donald, of South Hadley; and his many dear nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his dear sister, Sandra Fontaine and her husband, Richard. His family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 5:30 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Aldenville Chapels, (413-532-9806), 13 Dale Street, Chicopee, MA 01020. His burial will be private. The parking lot and main entrance of the funeral home are located in the rear at 20 Lafayette Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
